MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL ADMISSIONS:
The middle level and upper level ISEE test can be stressful for young students. we focus on each individual's strengths and zero in on areas of the test that can improved through strategy.
we suggest that your student take an initial practice test so that we can better assess the necessary duration and intensity of the program.
College Admissions/SAT & ACT
there are so many myths and assumptions surrounding the college admissions process, but none stir up more questions than the sat.
most students sit for the psat in 10th and 11th grade. while these tests can be prepped, they exist largely as "practice" for the SAT.
on average, most students now take the ACT or SAT at least twice, and generally achieve a higher score on the second sitting. familiarity breeds success, as does practice. the new sat, introduced in 2016, requires even more thorough focus than it has in the past, and preparation is essential.
the (relatively) new act is now similar to sat in many ways, but its structure and content require a separate prep program. once prep has been completed for one test, prep skills and strategies can be applied to the other test, should the student choose to "switch gears" or attempt both.
we suggest that your student take an initial practice sat as well as an initial Act to determine which test is more approachable. while most students score about the same on both tests prior to starting a prep program., most students have a certain affinity for one test more than the other.
college admissions & AP tests
these course specific tests are A standard part of ap & Advanced curriculums. we recommend that students applying to ivy league, ivy league equivalents, and specialized math and science programs prepare for these in addition to standard coursework.
